There are 3 types of telephones in use on campus.
1. Analog Phones
Analog Phones have a standard number pad. Analog phones come in either beige or black. These are the standard phones on campus and are free to departments.
Students living in Urness, Mortensen, Anderson or Luther Hall, have an analog phone.
2. Digital Display Phones
Digital Display Phones have a display showing the current date and time but use standard phone wiring instead to make and receive calls. They have a single or double row of keys on the right side on the keypad and are usually beige in color.
There are a limited number of digital lines on campus and departments must pay for these phones.
3. Internet Protocol (IP) Phones
Like a computer, IP phones use the internet to make and receive calls. IP phones are currently in use in the Oren Gateway Center and Lindell Library.
We have manuals for using Nortel branded phones and for using Avaya branded phones.
Augsburg uses Call Pilot from Nortel Networks to provide voicemail service to campus phones.
We have an easy step by step voicemail guide and a more detailed voicemail manual.
