■ New Tests and Measurement Course Offered Summer Session I: This summer a new elective graduate course will be offered on the topic of tests and measurement—EDC 591-F: Topics: Tests and Measurement. This course is designed to provide the teaching practitioner with the knowledge and skills to effectively use assessments in the classroom and also to assist teachers in understanding and evaluating the research on educational and psychological testing typically used in schools. No special background in math or statistics is required.

The class is scheduled to meet during the first summer session on Thursday evenings, May 13th through June 24th from 6:00-9:30 pm (online hybrid schedule–three meetings are live: May 13th, June 3rd, and June 24th). Registration for summer classes opens on March 29th at 9:00 am and the deadline for summer registration is May 17th. ■ Full-time jobs at STARBASE Minnesota: STARBASE Minnesota is an educational nonprofit organization founded in 1993 whose purpose is to inspire and educate youth in STEM. They are seeking candidates in the following areas: Elementary Education K-6; Middle School Science 5-8; Middle School Math 5-8; Secondary Science; STEM Certification; other related.

STARBASE is located by the Mpls/St. Paul International Airport. STARBASE is a year-round program. Regular hours are 7:30-4:00 during the school year; modified hours in the summer including shortened Fridays.
