Sex Discrimination and Title IX

Sex discrimination is an umbrella term that includes the following:

  • Non-harassment discrimination: differential treatment, retaliation, and failure to provide a student reasonable modifications for pregnancy and related conditions;
  • Sex-based harassment: quid pro quo harassment, hostile environment harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, and sexual exploitation; and
  • violations of the University’s consensual relationship policy.

The University understands that definitions may overlap and will examine individual incidents where sex discrimination is alleged. For more information, please refer to Augsburg University’s Sex Discrimination Policy.

Individuals can use this form to report any Title IX or sex discrimination concerns, as outlined above.
