Auggies off the light rail

There are several programs available at Augsburg that provide free or discounted transportation options for students.

Auggie Pass

The Auggie Pass is an all-you-can ride transit pass for day undergraduate students at Augsburg. It is funded through the Green Fee, which is paid for by all day undergraduate students.

The Auggie Pass completely funds all rides on Metro Transit Twin Cities buses and light-rail trains. Students can also ride the Northstar Commuter Rail between Target Field Station and Anoka Station. Traveling to Northstar stations north of Anoka requires additional fare, which can be added to the Auggie Pass as stored value.

Students can get their Auggie Pass:

  • During orientation programming if they are an incoming student.
  • At the Lindell Library circulation desk if they are a returning student.

Bike Share Program

The Augsburg Bike Share Program provides free bikes for students to check out during the entire year. A bike lock is provided, and a helmet is available for checking out, if needed.

Students can check out a bike at the Lindell Library circulation desk.

Metro Transit Subsidies

Adult undergraduate and graduate students can purchase a semester pass at the Augsburg University Bookstore anytime during the fall, spring, or summer terms.
