There are several support options that Augsburg has for students to receive food assistance.
Auggie Basics Dining
Auggie Basics Dining allows students to donate their unused Flex Points from their meal plans to other students who need them. If you would like to donate points or request points be added to your account (subject to availability of donated points), just fill out the form linked below. Run by students for students, the Campus Cupboard provides free groceries for all Augsburg students year-round. The Campus Cupboard provides a wide range of foods, including grains, snacks, canned foods, dairy, meat, and fresh produce, among other food items. It also offers free personal hygiene items including menstrual products, cleaning supplies, and more. Hours change between fall, spring, and summer terms.

Food Lab Open Cooking Hours + Workshops
Campus Kitchen hosts open cooking hours in the Food Lab (Hagfors 108).The Food Lab is stocked with a variety of cooking appliances available for student use. We have some ingredients available to share, and you can bring your own as well. Open hours change each semester. Summer 2022 Open Cooking Hours are Tuesdays 2-4pm and Wednesdays 4-6pm.
Campus Kitchen also hosts cooking workshops in the Food Lab during the academic year and summer. For updates on Food Lab open hours and workshops, email firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to get added to the Food Lab email list.
Campus Kitchen now offers rides to local grocery stores! You can sign up here. During summer 2022, Campus Carpool rides take place at 3pm on Fridays.
Many students are eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, which is a federal nutrition assistance program that provides monthly funds for groceries. Fill out this survey to find out more information about SNAP benefits and to see if you are eligible.
