There are several support options that Augsburg has for students to receive food assistance.
Auggie Basics Dining
The Auggie Basics Dining Application is now closed. Funds have been exhausted for the Fall Semester. The application will re-open in December for Spring semester.
Run by students for students, the Campus Cupboard provides free groceries for all Augsburg students year-round. The Campus Cupboard provides a wide range of foods, including grains, snacks, canned foods, dairy, meat, and fresh produce, among other food items. It also offers free personal hygiene items including menstrual products, cleaning supplies, and more. Hours change between fall, spring, and summer terms.
For questions about Campus Cupboard, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Food Lab Open Workshops
Campus Kitchen hosts open cooking workshops in the Food Lab during the academic year and summer. For updates on Food Lab open hours and workshops, email email@example.com and ask to get added to the Food Lab email list.
Many students are eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, which is a federal nutrition assistance program that provides monthly funds for groceries. Fill out this survey to find out more information about SNAP benefits and to see if you are eligible.
