The Center approaches writing primarily as a process. Students are encouraged to bring in projects at any stage of completion &#8212; rough notes, drafts, finished essays, graded papers &#8212; and are offered help with any aspect of the writing process.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a brief overview of what we can do:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Help to strengthen your thesis<\/li>\n<li>Help to analyze your topic<\/li>\n<li>Work with you on all aspects of your writing process:\n<ul>\n<li>Starting to write<\/li>\n<li>Developing paragraphs<\/li>\n<li>Constructing sentences<\/li>\n<li>Revising<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Address specific questions about writing<\/li>\n<li>Help with style and format of papers<\/li>\n<li>Address specific difficulties or concerns based on your inquiry about assignments and\/or writing in your classes<\/li>\n<li>Work with you on a long-term basis or on individual assignments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Writing Center offers one-to-one tutoring to students who want help in developing the skills necessary for college -level writing.
