{"id":2,"date":"2015-10-20T19:37:48","date_gmt":"2015-10-20T19:37:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.augsburg.edu\/universitycouncil\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2026-09-15T06:37:42","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T06:37:42","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.augsburg.edu\/universitycouncil\/","title":{"rendered":"About the University Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The University Council, formed in 2016 after a multi-year exploration of shared governance practices at Augsburg, leads Augsburg\u2019s internal deliberation of <strong><em>university-wide decisions<\/em><\/strong>, taking up\u2014as advisory to the President\u2014institutional considerations beyond the scope of faculty governance or any particular administrative unit.<\/p>\n<p>The Council is chaired by the President and includes additional leaders, elected or appointed, representing the faculty, staff, students and administration of Augsburg.
