{"id":93,"date":"2013-09-19T13:04:18","date_gmt":"2013-09-19T13:04:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.augsburg.edu\/staffsenate\/?page_id=93"},"modified":"2025-09-16T16:21:39","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T16:21:39","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.augsburg.edu\/staffsenate\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>What We Do and How We Work<\/h2>\n<p>The Augsburg University\u00a0Staff Senate shall serve Augsburg University\u00a0and its staff by providing a forum to foster and promote a positive and meaningful dialogue among staff, faculty, students and administration by advising in decision making processes, by serving as an advocate for staff, by promoting professional development opportunities, and by recognition of staff&#8217;s contributions to furthering and upholding the mission and values of Augsburg University.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Staff Senate for the 2025-26 Academic Year<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><b>Emilie Lenz, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assistant Director of Financial Aid, has been at Augsburg 3 years, both in Financial Aid and Study Abroad. She has a passion for both Financial Aid and Study Abroad and currently assists on the staff senate team. Emilie serves as Co-Chair for the Staff Senate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Keri Clifton<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Program Director for the Reell Office of Seeing Things Whole, has been at Augsburg for 2 years. Keri is also an Alum of the Master of Arts in Leadership Program (2023). Keri serves as Co-Chair for the Staff Senate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Lisa Eizenga<\/strong>, Assistant Director of Residence Life<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Izzy Rankin (she\/her)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is approaching her first anniversary at Augsburg on the Human Resources Team. She started as a Human Resources Coordinator and has since moved into the Talent Acquisition Specialist role. She supports the Staff Senate as the representative from the HR team.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Marcus Carrigan (he\/they)<\/strong> is the Program Associate for Career Services and Office Campus Studies. In his role with CGEE, Marcus works to support students who study abroad and away. Marcus also works with employers in Augsburg&#8217;s Strommen Center for Meaningful Work. Marcus is passionate about experiential education.<\/p>\n<p><b>Hayley Selinski<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Marketing and Communications, has been at Augsburg since November of 2020 as an Creative Associate and is now one of the Senior Graphic Designers on the shared services MarComm team.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"W0Trz\">\n<div class=\"YysZRb\" aria-describedby=\"tt-display-name-field\" data-tooltip-y-position=\"2\" data-tooltip-show-delay-ms=\"1000\" data-tooltip-anchor-boundary-type=\"2\"><strong>Cruz Rodriguez (He\/Him)<\/strong> is Assistant Director for the TRIO McNair Scholars Program. Cruz works with a cohort of First Generation &amp; Low Income students to supporting them in summer research and in applying to graduate school.
