Exposed to COVID-19 or Feeling Sick?

What to do if you have been exposed to someone confirmed or suspected to have COVID-19 or if you have symptoms:

Vaccinated individuals should monitor for symptoms if exposed to someone with a known positive case of COVID-19. If symptoms arise, please get tested right away. If you have no symptoms, plan to get tested 3-5 days after exposure. Following an exposure, vaccinated individuals do not need to quarantine but should wear a well-fitted mask until receiving a negative COVID-19 test result or for 14 days if they don’t get a COVID-19 test.

Fully vaccinated individuals must report their status to Augsburg if they receive a positive COVID-19 test. Vaccinated individuals may also submit a self-report form if they would like a member of the Augsburg COVID-19 Response Team to contact them about the steps to take after exposure.

Unvaccinated individuals should get tested if they are experiencing COVID-19-related symptoms or if exposed to a known or suspected positive case. Quarantine will be required for 14 days after the exposure or onset of symptoms, or 10 days if you are tested on day 8 and receive a negative result.

Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals must report their status to Augsburg if they receive a positive COVID-19 test or are exposed to someone with COVID-19. Unvaccinated individuals may also submit a self-report form if they are having symptoms and would like a member of the Augsburg COVID-19 Response Team to contact them about next steps.

Getting tested: Augsburg has a relationship with the nearby People’s Center Clinic and Services, which offers COVID-19 testing on weekdays. It’s free to those without insurance and covers uninsured portions for those who do have insurance. If you wish to be tested by People’s Center, please fill out this form once to be tested as many times as you need.

Additional easy-to-access testing is available at the Minneapolis Convention Center, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on weekdays. Walk-ins are welcome, but you are encouraged to make an appointment if possible. You can schedule an appointment online.

In addition, the state of Minnesota offers fast and accurate at-home saliva tests, at no cost, to any person who feels they need a test. These tests can be ordered and shipped to your home. You can find more information on COVID-19 testing, including other testing sites in Minnesota, on the Minnesota Department of Health COVID-19 Testing webpage.
