Students are returning. Faculty are busy putting the final polish on their courses. Staff are welcoming students through an array of activities in <a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.augsburg.edu\/event\/first-week-fallapalooza\/\">Fallapallooza<\/a>. The other buzz is the sound of Workday approaching.<\/p>\n<p>We will have faculty, staff and student workers using Workday come December 2026 and January 2027. We have a lot planned to help everyone get ready.<\/p>\n<h2>Bells and Whistles<\/h2>\n<p>Augsburg has purchased many of the bells and whistles that Workday offers. But for the accelerated timeline we&#8217;re on, come January people will see the\u00a0<em>bells<\/em> and more features will be turned on later. So the\u00a0<em>whistles<\/em> come later in 2027.<\/p>\n<h2>Communications<\/h2>\n<p>You will see amail posts, IT blog posts, digital screens, live training sessions, surveys, and a Focused Conversation all this fall.<\/p>\n<h2>Training<\/h2>\n<p>We have a very multi-mode training plan developed. We will be providing PDF job aids (how to do a thing in Workday), videos, FAQs, Workday road shows to specific audiences, and training sessions for specific groups.<\/p>\n<h2>Support<\/h2>\n<p>We also have a very multi-mode support plan. This is how you will get help after December. We will have Workday Office Hours, more road shows, and a special support email address that goes into our IT ticketing system.<\/p>\n<p>We are hoping you&#8217;ll be able to take advantage of one of the many opportunities to prepare yourself for Workday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fall is buzzing here on campus.
