University Events

Who we are

The University Events Department represents Augsburg University to alumni, parents, and friends, as well as to prospective students and the general public.

Through experiential events and opportunities, we inform all of these constituents about the high quality and diversity of Augsburg’s programs, provide opportunities for our many constituents to interact, and celebrate the achievements of our students, graduates, faculty, and staff.

It is our objective to provide leadership and support that connects the Augsburg University community, achieve the goals of the meeting/event, raise the image of the university, and support its mission. We will be an active partner in planning meetings/events and will strive to provide a quality, welcoming experience.

Given the number of summer camps and events already scheduled, please be advised that it may be unlikely that new or additional camps or events can be booked due to limitations on space, catering capacity, and availability of University Events team hours to plan or support your event.

For events that are already booked this summer, please note that we continue to be short-staffed in the University Events Department. Campus partners can help during this shortage by limiting special requests, using standard room set ups and catering menus, and ensuring all details for the event are planned and confirmed at least two weeks prior to the event date. 

If faculty, staff, or student organizations have questions about a potential event for the summer, please email to determine whether/how the event planning and management might be undertaken by the department requesting the event.

Academic Year Office Hours (September – May)

Monday – Thursday: 7:30am-4:00pm*
Friday: 7:30am – 2:00pm*
*Student staff for set-up, onsite event support, and strike are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Summer Office Hours (May – August)

Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm*
*Student staff for set-up, onsite event support, strike, and summer conference support are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
