Learn how to implement inquiry-based discussions with students at all grade levels and subject areas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">INS 255-A: Paideia Approach: Thinking, Talking, and Reading is a 4 semester undergraduate course that includes the Paideia Institute. The ECS 543 course can be taken for either two or four graduate semester credits and can be counted as an elective course in the MAE program. Register online. These sessions include basic math review, in-depth math review and reading and writing support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p9\">The mathematics support sessions are offered for any candidate needing a basic refresher on the math concepts on the test. The intensive sessions are for candidates needing more support in mathematics. You may take both. The reading and\/or writing sessions offer support for the reading and writing subtests.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p9\">There is no fee for the sessions, but registration is required. Board of Teaching (BOT) will accept passing ACT Plus Writing and SAT scores to meet the requirement for a skills exam in reading, writing and math. The BOT has adopted the following passing scores for these exams:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li10\">ACT Plus Writing:\u00a0Composite Score \u2265 22 and Combined English\/Writing \u2265 21<\/li>\n<li class=\"li10\">SAT\u00a0Reading \u2265 510 and Writing \u2265 510 and Mathematics \u2265 520<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p10\">Advising\u2014Day students in their final two years at Augsburg may enroll in AU courses if it is the only way that they can graduate in a timely manner.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Registration forms must be signed by Vicki Olson or Peg Finders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p10\">Students in SPE and ESL may switch from Day to AU to finish SPE or ESL licenses.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Day students who need to switch to AU to finish out their SPE or ESL licenses can maintain campus housing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p10\">If you have concerns or questions about the financial impact of this type of change please contact a Student Financial Services counselor immediately about the financial impact of the change.
