Invite your classmates! Registration is required. The NES reading and writing prep sessions at Augsburg University on 4\/1\/2019 &amp; 4\/8\/2019. For those of you who have not passed the NES exam or partially passed the NES exam, you can pick and choose which sessions to attend. We advise students to take the NES exam right after the prep sessions while the material is fresh in your mind. The event will be at the Saint Mary&#8217;s University of Minnesota Minneapolis Campus Event Center. The date is February 28th, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. &#8211; 2:30 p.m..<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Admission is free for students, families, and community organizers! We are reserving 150 spots for youth. Volunteer hours run from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday. This includes a half-hour recreational time from 5:00 to 5:30 and a free community meal (open to any volunteers) provided by Loaves and Fishes from 5:30 to 6:00. More than 70 teams from across the United States, China and the United Kingdom will attend the national competition in Bloomington, MN April 25\u201327.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p10\"><span class=\"s4\">In Academic Decathlon, students participate in 10 events: economics, mathematics, science, social science, literature, art, music, essay, speech and interview. There is also a compilation event called Super Quiz that combines all areas into a quiz show style format.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p9\"><span class=\"s8\">USAD is seeking volunteers to serve as judges for speech or interview as well as proctors for written exams and the Super Quiz. Without volunteer judges and proctors, this event would not be possible.
