Child Care Assistance Program

The Child Care Assistance Program provides financial assistance to help families in Minnesota with low incomes pay for child care so that parents may pursue employment or education leading to employment, and that children are well cared for and prepared to enter school.

You can apply for child care assistance three ways:

• Fill out the Minnesota Child Care Assistance Program Application DHS-3550.
• Fill out the Combined Application – Child Care Addendum DHS-5223D (use this if you are also applying for cash and/or food assistance).
• Apply online at MNbenefits.mn.gov.
